Milton Achtimichuk is a Western Heritage Artist, born on a farm near Rhein, Saskatchewan, and well remembers those times: a definite asset to the inspiration of his paintings of Canadian heritage.
Milton received training with the University of Regina and taught oil painting for 12 years for South East Community College as well as "Art in the Parks" for Saskatchewan Parks and Renewable Resources.
Over the years, Milton has lived in Ontario and British Columbia where much of his time was spent in rural countrysides and northern wilderness.
He paints a wide range of subjects including ethnic farm scenes, prairie and rocky mountain landscapes mixed with wildlife. Milton also paints expressionistic and abstract. This variety of genres in his work make it most unique.
*Milton Achtimichuk was awarded Best New Artist of Stampede in Calgary, Alberta, 2004.
